L’Université de Sfax a été créée en 1986. Elle compte plus 29000 étudiants par an et 20 établissements d’enseignement supérieur affiliés.
Historique
L’Université de Sfax a été créée par la loi n° 86-80 du 9 août 1986. Elle groupe toutes les institutions d’enseignement supérieur et de recherche situées dans les gouvernorats de Sfax, Tozeur, Gabès, Médenine, Gafsa, Tataouine et Kébili.
L’Université comptait 15 875 étudiants en novembre 1994.
